Peter Murphy Lewis

Peter Murphy Lewis is a storyteller, documentary filmmaker and long-term care advocate. His career spans journalism, television and marketing, focused on sharing stories often overlooked.

Born in Overland Park, Kansas, Peter co-founded La Bicicleta Verde, a Chile-based bike tour company known internationally, and even featured Paul McCartney during a Santiago tour.

Peter became a Certified Nursing Assistant, which inspired his docuseries People Worth Caring About, highlighting caregivers in Nebraska’s nursing homes to shift perceptions and attract new talent.


Jalene Carpenter

Jalene Carpenter is the President and CEO of the Nebraska Health Care Association, representing nearly 400 nursing homes and assisted living communities across the state. A dynamic leader known for her energy, advocacy, and innovation, Jalene has spent over a decade championing long-term care at both the state and national levels.

She was instrumental in bringing the People Worth Caring About docuseries to life. Now, as cohost of the People Worth Caring About podcast, she continues to amplify the voices of caregivers and leaders in the industry.
